OCEAN FOR ALL CONTEST

OCEAN FOR ALL CONTEST : BRINGING YOUTH CLOSER TO THE SEA

For over 100 years , the Oceanographic Institute, Albert I Prince of Monaco Foundation, in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, is organizing the 12th Oceano for All educational competition for the 2025-2026 school year.

The aim of the contest is to help teachers and their classes to discover and understand the Ocean, and to create a societal and collective project to protect it in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 13 and 14 (SDGs).

Aware of the new way in which young people look at the environment and their growing desire to take action to protect it, the Oceanographic Institute is working to support and accompany these new generations and help them to better understand how to act in the face of today’s challenges.

To help them manage and develop their project, teachers and students will be able to benefit from the support of an educational team specialising in scientific and cultural mediation, and take part in virtual workshops on the main marine themes.

In order to enhance the reflections and actions they have implemented throughout the contest, the registered classes will produce a video report and a document that presents the project and its ecological and societal impact.

The classes that carry out the projects with the greatest human and environmental impact will be awarded prizes in different categories (information to be announced on 09/30/2025).

With the aim of inspiring and encouraging other young people to take action for the Ocean, all the reports from the participating classes will be promoted and distributed via the Institute’s networks and its partners.

This project is supported by the TotalEnergiesFoundation, the Cuomo Foundation and the Association of Friends of the Museum.
